I am focusing on the Republicans that voted for this tax bill. Yes, it’s a tax bill. Mark my words. If it gets passed it will increase our energy costs. Let’s not forget it will kill jobs. Trust me. It will. Do your homework. Spain tried it and it failed.

Anyway, The Dems don’t surprise me for voting for a bill that will screw their constituents but make them very wealthy because they are invested in this crap.

The Republicans I had some hope for. But here you go. Here’s 8 that stink and because of them this crap passed. Thank God for Tom Price. My Rep. voted NO.

. . .It is clear that cap-and-trade is very expensive and amounts to nothing more than an energy tax in disguise. After all, when you sweep aside all the complexities of how cap and trade operates--and make no mistake, this is the most convoluted attempt at economic central planning this nation has ever attempted--the bottom line is that cap and trade works by raising the cost of energy high enough so that individuals and businesses are forced to use less of it. Inflicting economic pain is what this is all about. That is how the ever-tightening emissions targets will be met.

The only entities directly regulated by Waxman-Markey would be the electric utilities, oil refiners, natural gas producers, and some manufacturers that produce energy on site. So, the good news for the rest of us--homeowners, car owners, small-business owners, farmers--is that we won't be directly regulated under this bill. The bad news is that nearly all the costs will get passed on to us anyway.

What are those costs? According to the analysis we conducted at The Heritage Foundation, which is attached to my written statement, the higher energy costs kick in as soon as the bill's provisions take effect in 2012. For a household of four, energy costs go up $436 that year, and they eventually reach $1,241 in 2035 and average $829 annually over that span. Electricity costs go up 90 percent by 2035, gasoline by 58 percent, and natural gas by 55 percent by 2035. The cumulative higher energy costs for a family of four by then will be nearly $20,000. . .

This blog is not designed to use IE. It works just fine in most other browsers but IE has issues. Most of the readers are using IE and I don't have time to figure out what's wrong. IE sucks but since most folks are using it I am pausing posting to the blog. I never use IE and have never recommended.

So, I will not be trying to make this work with IE.

I may check from time to time to see if things have improved. But, given that Microsoft sucks when it comes to its browser I doubt it will get better.

I saw this on TV and glad this was written up. God knows you folks won’t believe me. But, if you can’t see what’s coming then I say you really want a Nanny State.

Before, moderate rural Democrats in the U.S. House were standing up to Nancy Pelosi in opposition to the “cap and trade” National Energy Tax (H.R. 2454).

They know how harmful this massive tax will be. But now, she’s been able to strong arm a number of them into a deal, and a vote may happen by Friday, June 26th.

This national energy tax would possibly be the largest tax increase in American history, it would cause gas and electricity prices to skyrocket, and add to our already spiraling federal deficit. We simply cannot afford this.

Our representatives must hear from us before Friday, and we must urge them to vote against H.R. 2454.

I'm hoping the video is posted from Fox and Friends, so you can hear this too. I heard, on the news, that Obama made a statement about choices and the government plan might find it better for a person to take pain pills as opposed to having surgery. Does this send up a red flag to you? It sure does to me.

I talked with a co-worker who is from the U.S. and has been living in the U.K for the past 3 years. She says exactly what I fear for the U.S.

The UK has the NHS (National Health Service) Our company offers health insurance. But, you have to stay in network. Problem is, there is NO network in the UK. Even though she is working in our UK office. She was forced on to the NHS. She says it's horrible and it's like our charity hospitals on steroids. She and her newborn almost died in the hospital. 12 day stay and she said the delays were very scary and she feared for her baby's life.

This is a real world example of what is going to happen here. My company, offers insurance but makes it impossible for anyone with a government alternative to use it. So, the employees get dumped on to the government plan. She also says the cost of living is way higher than here. WHY? TAXES!!!!!

Here’s the fact check on Obama’s statements from yesterday’s press conference.

. . .OBAMA: "We must preserve what's best" about the current health care system, and that means "allowing Americans who like their doctor and their health care plan to keep them." He added:

"If your employer is providing you good health insurance, we're not going to mess with it."

THE FACTS: This is a pledge that's beyond the president's power to make. Health care coverage for 160 million people is provided by employers, and Obama's plan leaves companies free to change their health plans in ways that workers may not like, or to drop insurance altogether. In addition, his health care plan is only that -- an idea proposed by the administration -- and is subject to reworking by Congress. A preliminary analysis by the Congressional Budget Office estimates that a Democratic plan being worked on in the Senate would force 10 million Americans to seek new coverage because their employers would no longer offer it.

OBAMA: Taxpayers would not have had to bear the burden of bailing out companies such as insurance giant American International Group Inc. if the federal government had the legal ability to unwind large failing companies in the same way that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. can use banking industry money to pay the costs of intervening in failing banks. "We want that power to be available so that taxpayers aren't on the hook," he said.

FACT: The administration has indeed proposed a plan to take over and either liquidate or restructure large interconnected companies whose failure could damage the economy. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said the costs of such an action would be recouped over time by assessing a fee to other large institutions. But as Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., pointed out last week, taxpayers would still have to cover the costs of such an expensive intervention until the industry fees are collected. During that period, taxpayers would be on the hook.

More Lies and Disregard For The People

Congress and the Administration do not care what you want. They will lie and do what they want. Take a look at Obama’s campaign promises. Remember how he chanted over an over that a person making less than $250,000 would not see ANY kind of tax increase. Well, it’s a lie and I knew it was at the time. You cannot spend with reckless disregard and not raise taxes. All kinds of taxes.

Congress does not care how they get the money. Hence the health benefits tax and the VAT tax. Of course no one in congress will breathe a word about how much they are going to screw us. Even though most of us do NOT want this Government controlled crap.

The only person to put out information on where the money is coming from is Senator Baucus. Here’s proof of the campaign lies. He says those making less than $100,000 will be taxed.

Now remember I showed you the provision that the Unions will NOT be affected by this. Their benefits will NOT be taxed. We have political favors being paid just to maintain a voting block and outright lying to the rest of us.

Right now, as my intrepid colleague Peter Barnes reports, he's targeting workers earning at least $100,000 and couples making $200,000. But wouldn't it be grand if it ended there? It likely will not. Since it raises barely $167 billion over ten years, it only gets you a sixth of the way there. But it's a start. And for Baucus, it's a plan.

I bring up the lies, the spending, the insane deficit, the pending hyper-inflation as we are moving closer to ABC’s special with Obama hawking his healthcare. Remember this is as biased as it gets. No opposing ads are allowed and no alternative plans are allowed to be presented. It’s like I saw in an Op-Ed piece—ABC’s display of their man crush on Obama.

Anyway, this whole fiasco is a joke. Obama criticizes Fox for telling it like it is. I guess that’s what he has a problem with. He can’t tell it like it is. He will tell you anything so he can continue his march to total government control of this country.

This will catch up with him. As this piece says “Obama’s Slip is Showing.”

. . .He says the deficit keeps him awake at night, yet he spends his daytime hours adding to it, most recently with a health bill that would cost at least $1 trillion over 10 years.

Obama dares call this reform and says it will save money. Wisely, the public doesn't believe him. And just wait till voters get the bill for his carbon tax.

Representative Ryan also disagreed with Romer’s assertion that the public plan would compete fairly with private insurers because of the public money used to create it, a luxury not afforded to private insurance companies.

Finally, they want to hold the Town Hall on Wall Street so they can fill the hall with other super-rich Republicans and attack Obama for wanting to raise their taxes.

If you are not following the Twitter Feed you are not seeing what’s really happening in Iran. You are not seeing the raw violence and death that the news cannot or will not show you. Then we have a President that goes soft on a written statement (in my opinion he came out way too late with the limp statement) and then he was off to get ice cream.

He needs to get tough and get tough NOW.

As the world watches the violence and post-election protests escalate in Iran, startling images from the streets of Tehran are disseminating through various social media. Many of them are tagged #iranelection, a hashtag which started on Twitter but is spreading to Flickr and elsewhere.

Since it is difficult to find photos in the sea of Tweets using the same #iranelection tag I’ve been using Twicsy, an image search engine for photos posted to Twitter which we wrote about yesterday. If you search “iranelection” or “tehran iran”, dozens of images from the protests will pop up.

Fair warning: these images are raw and unfiltered, and some of them are quite gruesome, showing people getting shot and lying in pools of blood. The most tragic one shows what is described as a woman protester bleeding to death after being shot today. This same incident was caught on someone’s video or cell phone video camera and uploaded to YouTube. (I hesitate to link to this because it is so hard to watch, but you can find it by searching for “An innocent girl was shot by Iran riot police” on YouTube).

There’s been plenty of debate about how big a role Twitter is playing in events in Iran. At the very least, it is being used as a channel to distribute information and images to the rest of the world. It is not always clear where these images come from or who took them. Some of the images are credited to professional news agencies such as the AP, Getty, Reuters, and Arabic news organizations and are being spread around by bloggers both inside and outside Iran. Others look like they were taken in haste or on a cell phone. (For other images from Iran taken by citizen photojournalists, check out Demotix/iranelection). . .

Now you know why I think Obama is just a late to bat, liberal softie, suckin’ down ice cream while this is happening. He’s all rhetoric and no action. His written statement was so soft. But, he’s only been about words. I’ve yet to see some REAL action. I hope he enjoys his Father’s Day as fathers, in Iran, are losing their children and children are losing their fathers.

Political Favors and Obamacare

Oh yeah, this plan is full of crap and full of favors to be paid back. But this is the President that said he was not going to have an Administration with politics as usual. Well, no it’s politics as usual. It’s worse. The lobbyists have been so visible and their numbers so high that some had to be turned away. There’s a steady stream of lobbyists getting their piece of the Obamacare pie.

President Obama is selling government health insurance to the American people as the way to save money. That government health insurance will merely provide competition to keep private insurance companies from gouging their customers. . .

. . .There are a couple of problems with Obama’s argument. Government is just not known for its cost effectiveness or quality. And the way for government enterprises to survive is with massive taxpayer subsidies and charging customers prices below the firm’s actual costs, driving more efficient private firms out of business. These subsidies mean that when government enterprises “win” they do so by driving more efficient private firms out of business. . .

. . .Already the Congressional Budget Office is predicting a federal budget deficit of over $9.3 trillion. Just that new debt alone means an extra $103,000 for each of the 90 million tax filers who actually pay taxes. Depending on government to magically find ways to create efficiency will only ensure huge additional expenditures and debt. It can also jeopardize a health care system where 89 percent of Americans are happy with the health care that they receive.

Democrats and the Health Tax Taboo

To understand why Sen. Max Baucus has taken so long to release his health-care reform, tune in to Oregon radio. That's where Mr. Baucus's fellow Democrat, Sen. Ron Wyden, has been flayed by unions for his own reform proposals.

"The last thing we need is to pay more," moans a radio ad aired by three labor outfits, including the National Education Association. It excoriates Mr. Wyden for daring to fund his plan with what has become liberal taboo: taxes on existing health-care benefits.

Mr. Baucus, the Finance Committee chairman who is helping lead the Obama health effort, is still deciding what to include in the bill. But his far bigger headache remains how to pay for this blowout. He and other Democrats have been inching toward the taboo benefits-tax, putting them on a collision course with liberal special interests like unions. Mr. Baucus's newest solution? A union payoff. . .

Market-based solutions can reduce the national health-care bill by 40%.

Effective health-care reform must meet two objectives: 1) It must secure coverage for all Americans, and 2) it must dramatically lower the cost of health care. Health-care spending has outpaced the rise in all other consumer spending by nearly a factor of three since 1980, increasing to 18% of GDP in 2009 from 9% of GDP. This disturbing trend will not change regardless of who pays these costs -- government or the private sector -- unless we can find a way to improve the health of our citizens. Failure to do so will make American companies less competitive in the global marketplace, increase taxes, and undermine our economy.

At Safeway we believe that well-designed health-care reform, utilizing market-based solutions, can ultimately reduce our nation's health-care bill by 40%. The key to achieving these savings is health-care plans that reward healthy behavior. As a self-insured employer, Safeway designed just such a plan in 2005 and has made continuous improvements each year. The results have been remarkable. During this four-year period, we have kept our per capita health-care costs flat (that includes both the employee and the employer portion), while most American companies' costs have increased 38% over the same four years.

Safeway's plan capitalizes on two key insights gained in 2005. The first is that 70% of all health-care costs are the direct result of behavior. The second insight, which is well understood by the providers of health care, is that 74% of all costs are confined to four chronic conditions (cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity). Furthermore, 80% of cardiovascular disease and diabetes is preventable, 60% of cancers are preventable, and more than 90% of obesity is preventable. . .

We Are Coming!

This is an amazing and a perfect compilation of my feelings and a lot of people’s feelings.  This is a letter that was written by a grandmother who has never been an activist and is only wishing to spend time with her family and do the family things that we all enjoy. But, the agenda in Washington has pushed her, me and many others into the motion.  We will no longer be silenced.

To The Current Administration:

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when he will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

Inspector General is Victim Of Politics

I listened to an interview with Inspector Walpin and what was done really stinks. This is a case of corrupt politics and favors paid back.

He is so full of it. Here’s the interview with Inspector Walpin. He sounds perfectly fit to serve to me. He is not confused nor disoriented. He was just thrown under the Obama bus because he dared to cross a friend of Obama.

Inspectors General are outside of politics and that is necessary to retain their independence. Now, I can only guess that the other Inspectors will not cross the Anointed One if they want to keep their job. Listen and you decide.

Now, here’s a great explanation as to what is going on. This should really show you what kind of “leader” we have. Keep in mind Obama is a Community Organizer and nothing more. That will help make sense of all of this.

OK, now about Obama’s Community Organizer roots. I’ve been reading about Chicago politics and this guy’s roots. They are rooted in Acorn and he was an agitator. He created and supported some groups that pushed the local government into getting what he and the group wanted. He’s not a leader, he’s a shit stirrer.

Chicago is truly the land of corrupt politics. Like so many large cities this one is no exception and he’s right in the middle of it.

He has refused to cross a fire fighter’s picket line who are in a labor dispute with the city. Now, the Mayor’s told their respective cities that they would use tax payers  money to fund the trip because they would be meeting with the President. Well, he’s too busy playing footsie with labor unions.

Socialized Medicine and All The President’s Czars.

Since socialized healthcare is right around the corner I thought I would talk a bit more about this mess. This is the biggest Trojan Horse ever.

First off all, I will go on the record and say that all we have to do to fix the rising medical costs is to have serious tort reform. Yes, we need to stop suing Docs and drug companies in to oblivion. We are a suit happy society. So, of course Docs and hospitals are going to practice defensive medicine. They have to order a ton of unnecessary tests because they are afraid if they don’t you will sue them. Their insurance costs are ridiculous.

Let them be a partner in your healthcare. Right now they are afraid of you.

Tort reform WILL fix the rising costs of healthcare. Also, personal responsibility will cut costs as well. Calling 911 for missing McNuggets is just a classic example. Anyway, I guess Obama never thought of tort reform. Even if he did he wouldn’t do it because he’s an attorney and it won’t afford him as much control as government run healthcare.

With that said, here’s what you can look forward to.

1. He’s going to CUT Medicare and Medicaid payments to Docs and hospitals. Yeah, that’s a good idea. Medicare and Medicaid payments are on the low side already.

2. He WILL raise taxes and YES even if you make less that $250,000. You will see increased taxes on good and services in the form of VAT taxes and/or Sin Taxes.

Don’t believe me, you know I always post my sources.

In his address Saturday, Obama refers to a 10-year total of more than $600 billion in “savings” for health care. However, he does not explain in his latest comments that, under his revised budget released last month, $326 billion of that amount would come from tax hikes on Americans making over $250,000 a year, “loophole closers,” and higher fees for some government services. . . .

. . .The bulk of the new $313 billion in savings would come from cutting or reducing the growth of payments to hospitals, medical equipment manufacturers and laboratories —. . .

. . .Another $106 billion would come from cuts in so-called disproportionate share payments the federal government makes to hospitals with large numbers of uninsured patients. . .

. . .About $75 billion is slated to come from lower payments for prescription drugs. . .

. . .The cuts and savings are likely to engender warnings from providers that de-facto rationing will occur as patients in some areas find themselves unable to find providers willing to perform lab tests, X-rays and the like, due to the lower reimbursement rates.

What will be the effects of socialized medicine on the supply of doctors and nurses? Will talented youngsters want to work for a government-run system and make significantly less money? What will happen to the pharmaceutical industry, which currently provides 93% of the world’s drug innovations? Or the private hospital system, or private insurers? Or your insurance? And your doctor?

. . .Never mind that they have no way to pay for it, that they’re slashing Medicare benefits by $313 billion while proposing $600 billion in new taxes… and that stillwon’t be enough..

• You work for us, we don’t work for you!
• We want our voices heard on socialized medicine and we want you to stop threatening private parties!

• And we want a fix for Social Security and Medicare before you even think about killing our health care system!

We demand to be heard or the entire country will mobilize to throw you out of office the next time around!

I know you’ve heard about the Czars that are running around Washington doing Obama’s bidding with no accountability to Congress or us. This is wrong and should be stopped. These guys/girls will not talk to anyone and no one knows what they are doing. Neil explains is perfectly. If this wasn’t true the humor in the this video would be quite funny. But, even if you find it funny—remember, it’s true.

On a more serious note, here’s what’s going on behind the scenes of the Auto industry fiasco. Listen close, constitutional and contractual law is just tossed to the side and no one knows what these guys and Obama are doing. Czars answer to no one. Remember that when your freedom is taken away in the middle of the night.

Open Your Mind

Hmmm, I’ve heard that line from liberals before, but now it seems they should be taking their own advice.

Many times I’ve been sent hate mail and called all kinds of things by liberals. But, when I ask for debate or just ask a liberal to answer a question, they don’t. They run away and I never hear from them again. I’ve always believed that the reason I don’t get answers, let alone healthy debate, is because the liberals CAN’T answer the questions or stand for a debate.

Well, guess what? I was right. Here’s a clip from study that was done at Ohio State and Brigham Young.

In a nutshell—Liberals need to open their minds and get out of their cocoons.

“Only 5 percent of online news readers go to political blogs on a daily basis, according to a new book by a different researcher, yet many represent the most politically active consumers of the news.

Such readers may prefer blogs over mainstream media sources because they suspect bias in the latter, said Richard Davis, a political scientist at Brigham Young University in Utah.

"They're clearly disenchanted with traditional media," Davis said. "That's why they read blogs in the first place — in their view, they see blogs as more accurate."

This trust in blogs over traditional media does not carry over to general readers, Davis cautioned. Less frequent blog readers usually give equal weight to blogs and traditional media. And overall, general readers still put more faith in traditional media.

Conservatives buck the trend

Some findings from both researchers suggest that individual confidence and certainty play a role in what people choose to read.

People with stronger party affiliation, conservative political views, and greater interest in politics proved more likely to click on articles with opposing views, according to the Ohio State study.

"It appears that people with these characteristics are more confident in their views and so they're more inclined to at least take a quick look at the counterarguments," Knobloch-Westerwick noted.

It all makes sense. Liberals don’t get it because they can’t see through blinders. So when a liberal says “Open Your Mind” it’s probably them that needs to open up and get out of the cocoon.

I was really glad to see this because I was not understanding why the hatred was being thrown my way and I was being referred to as all kinds of terrible things. I was also told to post more positive stuff and stop the negative bashing.

Well, now I know why those folks are the way they are. They can’t break free and don’t have the confidence in their own beliefs to stand up for them. Reminds of the post I made about “Do you believe what you believe"?” I think I found the answer.

The New Deal certainly went a long way toward implementing this progressive vision, and what we have seen in our own situation with TARP and the various other interventions is simply greater steps toward the progressive plan. Our Congress has simply said to the Treasury agencies: here’s a trillion dollars, here’s all the legal authority you need, now go out, determine what is in the public interest, and spend and regulate accordingly. That is the progressive vision of government, in a nutshell.

Obama is God????

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama’s Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God."

Here’s another thing. I know someone, privacy maintained so don’t ask, who came here from a communist country.  She is so afraid because she can see what’s coming (socialism) and cannot understand why the American people don’t get it.  She’s is beside herself and just wants to shake everyone to wake them up.

Think about it.  If she can see what’s coming, why can’t most of America?

Falling House of Cards

Well, this is just the beginning. Justice Ginsburg smelled a rat and issued a stay on the sale of Chrysler. This is great news! Obama’s house of cards is about to fall.

You can’t keep ignoring constitutional and contractual law forever. Eventually people rise up and take notice.

The Supreme Court, in an order signed by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, has stopped the sale of Chrysler to Fiat and the bankruptcy plan engineered by the White House. No details are available quite yet on the story, but I will be watching for updates on the wires and blogs.

Ginsburg stopping the sale, though … that’s interesting in and of itself. . .

. . .Update III: Chrysler says they only have until June 15 to complete the sale to Fiat, and after that they’ll have to flat-out liquidate. Maybe they should have done better by their senior creditors then, huh? And guess who’s representing them? Thomas Lauria — the lawyer who blew the whistle on the Obama administration’s extortive tactics in the negotiations. You think he’s loving this today?

Here’s a bit more on this.

Not enough people are talking about the Supreme Court's decision to briefly hold up Chrysler's sale to Fiat. Here's the one thing: When the government doesn't like how the game is going, they simply change the rules.

On Monday, the Obama administration filed paperwork with the Supreme Court, asking the justices not to take up the case for senior creditors — including the Indiana pension fund — which, luckily for them, was ignored.

I have nothing more to add to this. The picture says it all. Did you expect any more from her at this type of ceremony? I didn’t. She’s got issues. Between her and her stupid husband our country is so screwed.

How Dare He!

I do not come from a military family but I was offended that Obama had the audacity to talk about the sacrifices made by the military during WWII. 

Yes, they made sacrifices and thousands made the ultimate sacrifice.  For What?

For the Land Of The Free and The Home Of The Brave.

Yes, Land Of The Free.

How dare, he speak about these people who should be held up higher than anyone.  He spoke of them with such honor. But, he’s destroying what they fought and died for.

He is taking away our freedom and our liberties; and in the same breath honors those who fought for them.

Something is wrong with this picture. 

If you did vote for this Socialist, I hope you see what’s really going on. Please, for the veterans of WWII, do not let this country go the way of Socialism and lose our Super Power status.  If you do, all that these brave men and women fought for will have been in vain.  Do not disrespect their memory.

Celebrate their victory and celebrate our freedom.  Organize and vote to shift the power in 2010.  Do not stop until our liberties and freedom are returned.

Remember, our esteemed leader said that the United States is not a Christian Nation.  If he has his way, it won’t be. We will all be in “deep appreciation of Islam”.  That’s his words, NOT mine.

Keep Our Healthcare Privatized

Before I share this article about healthcare I want to say one thing about yesterday.

I know some of you expected me to rant about Obama’s Cairo speech. No rant from me. I expected exactly what he did. Now, it’s OK to refer to his Muslim roots and it’s OK for him to continue the Apology Tour. I’m also not surprised that he’s kissing the butt of a single religion. Muslim is not a race. Why, in the hell, is he choosing one specific religion to kiss up too and snub others (Israelis). OK that’s it. He’s just being who he is. An Ass out to destroy our country.

OK on to healthcare. Please don’t buy into the government version of healthcare. Don’t believe his smooth smoke and mirrors speeches. Learn the truth. DON’T BE HOODWINKED. Start reading here and then do your own research.

Read the truth. His plan will cripple the industry and lead to mediocrity in health care, at best.

. . .In truth, Medicare can be fixed without subjecting the nation to medical scarcity. Telling all Americans they have to cut back on health care because Medicare is fiscally unsound is like ordering all Americans to go on diets because the food stamp program is in trouble.

KoKo Taylor

KoKo Taylor passed away in Chicago, last night.  If you are a blues fan you may know her.  If not, here’s a sample. She was a major player in the blues world.

Koko Taylor Dies

The lady known as the “Queen of the Blues” – Koko Taylor – passed away at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital after complications from surgery. She was 80.

Taylor’s death comes two weeks after the blues artist underwent surgery for gastrointestinal bleeding.

Born Cora Walton, Taylor earned the “Koko” moniker due to her love of chocolate. She played the blues for more than 50 years and some of her best-known recordings included “Wang Dang Doodle,” “What Kind of Man is This” and “I Got What It Takes.”

She also received seven Grammy nominations during the course of her career, scoring a gramophone statuette for best traditional blues recording in 1984 for her collaborative work on “Blues Explosion”

Born in 1928 near Memphis, Tenn., Taylor grew up in her family’s sharecropper shack. Her father wanted her to sing gospel, but Taylor had other plans. . .

This is a special note to my critics from Pennsylvania. Yes, it seems my most vehement critics come from this state. I’ve been called all kinds of things. Silly name calling, finger pointing, refusal to debate and then they run away.

Well hopefully the scales are falling from their eyes. If not maybe this will help.

This is happening in your own state. Obama is so damn arrogant that he thinks he can dictate his agenda to candidates and manipulate your state elections.

Sestak: I Will Reject Obama Request to Step Aside in Pennsylvania Senate Race

Rep. Joe Sestak, a retired vice admiral, said he would not let the president dictate whether he will run for the U.S. Senate seat in a primary against new Democrat Arlen Specter

Rep. Joe Sestak is charting his own course in deciding his political future, telling FOX News Radio on Monday that he will kindly ignore requests from President Obama to step aside in a Democratic Senate primary race against Sen. Arlen Specter.

Sestak, a retired vice admiral in the U.S. Navy, had been weighing a general election challenge before Specter switched parties last month, becoming a Democrat after 29 years as a Republican. Sestak said he would not give up his plans just because Specter may have been assured a clear path to re-election.

Sestak said it's up for the voters of Pennsylvania, not the U.S. president, to decide who should become the commonwealth's representative in the U.S. Senate.

"While I respect the president and I would love to have his endorsement, it's Pennsylvanians that I came in to serve and that's where I'd make my final decision, so I will have to defer to the president's desire and say, 'I think, that Mr. President, I have great respect for you, but as the office of presidency -- and you alluded to that -- core mission said, don't preclude any opportunities for us Pennsylvanians. And I need to do this.'" Sestak said. . .

Warning From Russia

Well, if I didn’t have a day job I would have posted this yesterday. I held the article aside so I would remember to post the information as soon as I could. Well Fox News trumped me. LOL

I watched Glenn Beck last night and sure enough he was all over it. Oh well, there’s no way I can beat the news folks. I am glad he reported on this since the other networks ignore such truths.

This is an article that was posted by Pravda. Pravda is a long standing Russian news source. So, who would know better how to recognize the signs of Marxism and the like.

Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe. . .
