Last Present For Me

After crunching numbers and considering the changes happening at work, I have decided I will NOT buy anything that is NOT a necessity (very strict definition).  No will be my favorite word.

Given that, here’s the final present to myself. They arrived yesterday afternoon. I really am excited about each of them.  Here they are. Both were inexpensive, even when you buy them new, and the rewards from each of them is worth so much more.

I have already started reading the book and I love it.  I’ve been eating McDougall style and now I’m just refining it.  It’s wonderful and I feel pretty darned good eating this way.

The DVD will have to wait until this weekend.  I will play it to see how the workout is done. But, after the 5 minute mini power walk video I think I’ll be hooked.  If you click here, you can read my post about the mini walk and go to the video.  Good stuff and fun and the best part you get a 3 mile walk done without leaving home.  So, weather is no longer an excuse. smile_wink

Word came down yesterday that our department will be merged into one and the 3 current managers will report to a new “big” manager.  I have misgivings about this change but I’m rolling with it and thrilled that I have a job.

That’s about it for today.  Have a great day, my friends.

I hope the changes at work aren't too disruptive...and that they're worthwhile.

After a few days off (although we walked a lot in Vegas), I got back into the workout routine today. It felt great!

I think that 5 minute walk is pretty cool way to excersize. Hope you don't get any more surprises at work. Dawn

Only buying what we need is important. Of course, saving for some fun things can make the sacrifices more bearable :o)

I like your way of thinking, not buying to be buying, only buy what you need. Hope things at work go well...enjoy your midweek. Hugs and love,
