Falling Apart

Well, it's always something.

Last night I strained, pulled, wrenched maybe tore my calf muscle. How? Bending over to pet my fur baby. Nothing out of the ordinary. I just hit it the wrong way and my muscle jumped up and screamed at me.

I didn't think I would make it downstairs this morning. In reality I thought it would be all better by this morning. But, I did make it down and made it to work.

Walking is a real pain (literally). But, I will get over it and walk it off the best I can. The good advice of Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation for 48 hours is certainly off my list of being feasible. I don't have the luxury of taking time off for such things.  Thank goodness I work from home tomorrow. That will help.

So, is this a sign of getting old? You move just a little bit off kilter and body goes to hell in a handbasket? Oh well, it is what it is.

My Air purifier arrived yesterday. I'll set that up over the weekend.

Today my Lentil Soup mix should arrive. I'm really interested to see how that turns out. Here's the mix I ordered.

Check out the site and take a look around. Good stuff if you like soup.

That's about it for today. Have a great day and stay dry and warm.

Hello, my first time visit to your blog spent some time reading your post. Enjoyed reading. As far as the pulling of muscle's while doing nothing out of the ordinary it is part of getting older. It sucks as it happens to me all the time. I once had dish towel syndrome...smile...could not move for days do to bending over to pick up a dish towel.

It will help that you don't have to walk to work tomorrow. The soup site is interesting, soups that I wouldn't ordinary make. Dawn
