It's back to work and the deadlines have been drawn. It's going to be busy but it's just for 3 weeks and then I'm off for 2 weeks.
I've been thinking about 2009 and what it will bring. Some of my decisions were prompted by the actions of others. I think the best way to describe 2009 will be "Me, The Minimalist" I have already left posts in the blogs that I will be shutting down. Only one that I was going to shut down will remain. The emails I received on this blog were overwhelming so I decided to leave that one. But, others will be going.
I am not going to spend as much time online as I have been. The house needs attention and I have crap to get rid of.
I am thinking of having a garage give away. Kind of like a garage sale but all the items are free. That will be in Spring.
I am going to work hard on decluttering my life and taking care of the outside and getting some home fixes done.
After a couple of nasty contacts regarding my blog I decided that I try too hard to please everyone. So, I will still try to please folks but I will not stress about it if some folks are not happy. To me, those folks are really never happy anyway.
Mom is sending the camera today and I am really looking forward to getting it. I think it will be great and I'll always have a camera on me. Well, most of the time 
It will be nice.
So my first project will be to rework my office/storage/cat room. Get it down to bare bones and then I can breathe again.
Have you started thinking about 2009? It's the dawning of a new year!

I can't imagine leaving nasty comments on a blog. Don't read it if you don't like it! You know, though, when I found out there are people who make it their business to criticize Pioneer Woman in their blogs, that's when I knew you just can't please some people.
Well that's true, that you can't please everyone, so don't try. These people that leave nasty comments have other problems, I'm sure. Glad your not closing this journal. Have a good day.

I do not know why someone would leave a bad comment on your blog?? I am sure you declutter as you have said, you are very good sticking to your plans. Do not work too hard, be sure to keep us updated on whats going on.

I am on the same wavelength as you for 09'. I have things I must attend to and I am planning on making some other personal changes as well.
So sorry about the rude and uncalled for remarks about your blog...it is beautiful in my eyes...always has been...lots of hard work goes into it...from your heart. Wow,2009...to be honest...have not thought about it...just getting through this month is all I can think of at the moment. LOL Hope you have a great Tues...don't work too hard...enjoy!

Hey Deb! Like everyone else, I'm sorry to hear about the nasty comments. From one people pleaser to another, try not to sweat it. Easier said than done but it gets better with practice. ;)
I'm glad you're keeping this blog open. I sure would miss you if you left us.
Your plans for 2009 sound like good ones. I need to spend less time online and more on my "chores" ... I know I would have a hard time at first because I love the net so much but I would be happier if my house was in the order it was before the internet was in my home. LOL!
One of my biggest goals for 2009 is to declutter. In fact, I had a nightmare last night and part of it involved ALL THE CLUTTER that is holding me down.
As for pleasing everyone - don't stress yourself trying to do that! There are some people, like my Mr Big X who is never happy and the only time I really saw him happy was if he was making someone else miserable - usually me, sometimes his sister or mom or other folks. They are unhappy themselves and want others to feel the same way. Don't let them bring you down! Never let anyone steal your happiness. :-)

I hate when folks leave nasty comments.. says so much about their life doesn't it? As for 2009..... I'm glad to be making it thru 2008.. so much will be changing for sure
