Day After

Yep, it's the day after Christmas and life should resume to some sort of normalcy.  I am glad it's over for this year.  This time of year tends to put some unrealistic expectations on folks and that's not a good thing.

I'm just happy I'm alive, have a job and am able to make morning coffee. 

I talked to Mom and Michael.  Mom had a nice time.  It was very hectic and now She and Daryl and his family will be heading to the lake house for the weekend.  So, I won't hear from them for several days.

Mike sounded good but very stressed. The background noise made it sound like Mayhem.  I hope things calmed down for him.

My cooking adventure turned out terrible.  I dumped the casserole and made some boxed vegetarian chili.  This is always good.  Perfectly spiced and all you do is boil water, mix and add a can of rinsed beans and a can of drained diced tomatoes.  Simmer for 10 minutes and it's done.  Good stuff and always a success.

Not much going on today.  I'll be taking a couple of walks once the sun comes up.  It will be warm today and we may hit a record high temperature by tomorrow.  This is a very strange winter.
