It was so good to work from home yesterday. My computer held up just fine. So, for now all is well.
I did get my quarterly bonus in this pay check. It's really great that we are solid enough that bonuses are still being given. Of course taxes took just about 50% of it. But, it's still more than I started out with. I'll use this to pay for the defroster board. That way I don't have to touch my emergency fund. The rest of it will be sent in against my student loan.
I've posted some interesting things on my other blogs. I hope you like the goodies I found.
This weekend is going to be redoing my finances. I have to rework my budget since I changed my 401k contribution. I am netting less. In the end I think it will be worth it. Of course I'm still struggling with the idea of stopping my contributions for awhile. The only problem is the match that we get. It's 100% on 3% if you contribute at least 6%. I don't like losing "free" money. I'll work through it over the weekend.
Still now word on the political blogging. So, until I hear for sure I have something to post today. I have to get it out there before we're cut off. Today may be my last post but we'll see.
Today I am getting my flu shot at work. It's a good deal since it's free for employees. One less thing to pay the Doc for.
That's about it for today. I'm just thrilled it's Friday and I met my deadlines for yesterday. Came in on the skin of my teeth but I made it.

Cliff always got his flu shot free until this year. They've cut out a lot of perks where he works.

We got our flu shots the last of Sept. Got it out of the way before I had my surgery. Glad that you got your bonus. Looking for some thunderstorms today but I have been looking for several days LOL. No rain yet but a sprinkle. Have a nice day. Helen
If you can work it, I'd try to keep contributing to your 401k. I believe things will get better within the next 5 years, if you can wait that long.

Congrats on the bonus...you deserve it for all the hard work you do. Flu shot...got mine but had to pay for it...yuck! Everyone else got their flu shot at their job. Hope you have a great weekend...hugs and love,

Thomas and I were discussing his 401K, too. Last quarter he lost all of the company's match, plus a little of his contribution. I need to go online to see how this quarter is doing. We were thinking about moving his high-risk investments to medium risk, but not even sure about that. Glad you got a good bonus check. So many companies are going under or unable to do any bonuses.
