Big Day

We had a great day yesterday.  We went to Waffle House and then to Costco.  Mom couldn't find the snacks that she wanted to buy, but she did get a nice pair of gloves.  We just roamed around and looked at all the stuff that's out for the holidays.  We started looking at cameras.  I mentioned that I loved my big digital camera but it was so cumbersome and sometimes I wished that I had a little one for my pocket. My brother and SIL had given her a small one last year and that's what she carries with her.  What I had forgotten about was that she also had bought herself a small camera without knowing one was wrapped up for her.  So, she ran into terrible issues with trying to return it to Office Depot.  She was stuck with it.

Long story short.  She's going to send me the little camera when she gets home.  That will be so nice and I'll be more apt to take it with me.

After Costco we ended up at Pep Boys to get Mom an ice scraper. After that it was off to the eye doctor. That took about 2 hours. But, there's not much change in glasses so I'm good for another year. However, he told me that I have minimal cataracts in both eyes.  This is the first time he's seen this.  He told me he doesn't expect much to happen before 3 years or it could take 10 years.  He just said that it needs to be watched as the growth rate could not be predicted.  My pressures are a little high (21 and 19) but he's not worried about them.  He said my optic nerve is in good shape.  So, that's the news on my eyes. smile_confused

After we left the Doc's office we went to Red Robin.  We were such pigs but we enjoyed the Tower of Onion Rings. They are just so good.  It was expensive but I never eat out and only do special things when she's in town.  It was worth it.

Today in the day.  Buca de Beppo for lunch. I still haven't decided if I am going to take pics or videos.  I guess you'll have to be surprised. smile_wink

I promise, before my vacation ends, I'll catch up with everyone.  It's tough when Mom is running me ragged. smile_teeth

So for now, I leave you with this pic of Nathan.  Mike sent some pics he took and you can really see the little computer whiz at work.  He's an amazing 2 year old.

Glad that you two are enjoying yourselves. That eye pressure sounds great compared to what mine stays. I think they have decided mine is due to sinus problems. Cute picture. He is smart. Helen
