Money Arrived Just In Time

I forgot to tell you I got my "stimulus check" on Monday. It was direct deposited. Perfect timing and now I can pay my $400 lab bill from the Doc's office. Sad I have to spend that much but I am glad I had the money to do this and NOT upset my budget.

I am going to re-work my budget and get even more out of it to put against debt. I want this time to go by as fast as it can and I am willing to make the sacrifice to do so.

Home values have dropped 12% in the Atlanta area. That was as of the end of February. The March numbers are not out yet. We are number 6 in the nation for foreclosures. God I pray this turns around by next summer. I don't want to lose money and I will be happy if I can just break even. I have no dreams of making a huge profit but I don't want to have to bring money to the closing table.

I may, and this depends on a lot of things, stay here longer and continue to get rid of the mortgage debt. In 6 years and living so frugal it hurts I could have the mortgage paid out. That's a huge decision but if the market doesn't turn around I don't know what to do. I can't put it on the market and when I do sell it I will have to sell it as is. This will bring in a price under the market value so I need the market to be as high as possible.

For now I am just focusing on next Summer. Whatever drops in my lap and whatever surprises are thrown at me I have to make it until next Summer. All other things considered it will be day by day. This will end and I have to have faith.

Flip flops will be here today. It's too chilly to wear them to work but by next week I'm sure that will not be the case.  I can't wait to wear them. Cheap, cheap, cheap and saves a lot of wear on my more expensive shoes.

This weekend is going to be organization time. I have very little space upstairs. I have a bedroom a bathroom and my office. My office is going to be arranged very carefully so I can accommodate my "new" sewing machine. I was going to set it up in the dining room but that's just not a good idea.  I may take down the Darby Cam. By shutting down this computer I can free up a nice nook area for the machine. We'll see how it goes. It will take some creative organization that's for sure.

One more thing. My spaghetti squash seeds have sprouted. I'm very excited.
